Street Fighter is a game meant for arcades, but it’s proven itself on the console. So what about the PC?
What Is It? Street Fighter IV built for Games For Windows — Live
What We saw I played multiple matches against other writers, staying until I was beaten and then stalking off to sulk.
How Far Along Is It? Appears to be completed.
What Needs Improvement? Online: While I’m told the online portion of Street Fighter IV will include all of the features found in the console versions, it won’t include anything new. …

With just 66,000 in sales MadWorld could serve as a warning to developers to stay away from hardcore games for the Wii, but Capcom’s Masachika Kawata, says that’s not the case for Resident Evil.
“I personally have no fear (about sales of Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles), Resident Evil is a massive brand on a worldwide scale and you can’t really compare it to MadWorld,” he said. “Personally I do like MadWorld, I think it is a very unique game. I think we should be happy to be able to …

To: Crecente From: Bashcraft RE: If The Shoe Fits
I moved into my new place on Monday — and have been unpacking since. Don’t think we’ll be fully settled anytime some — mounds and mounds of stuff to unpack.
This is regarding a conversation I was having with someone over the weekend: Why do people press buttons on elevators twice? Sure, they’re impatient. But don’t buttons respond the first time? And wouldn’t pressing the same button twice even possibly make the elevator move slower?
Then again, maybe the people who design elevators know …

File this under “insightful”: EA Sports boss and part-time tattoo aficionado Peter Moore has told Eurogamer that his brand is under-performing on Nintendo’s dominant home console.
I think we need to continue to work on the Wii. When I look at the attach rate on the Wii of our software to where I think we should be, we’re under-performing still, we need to do much better

Sure do. Know a good place to start, Pete? Quit introducing cartoony graphics and take a look at Konami’s Pro Evo. While the shinier versions of …

DS title WarioWare: Myself lets users create their own mini-games. That means one thing: Penis.
Released in Japan as Made In Ore (“ore” is the masculine form of “I”), the WarioWare title features a microgame editor for the Nintendo DSi described as a tool to “make your own music, graphics, pretty much everything, including programming the logic and making your own ‘game cassette’.”
WarioWare: Myself will connect with Asobu! Made in Ore, a WiiWare release that will let players upload their Made in Ore creations and play them on a …

There’s nothing especially remarkable about a side-scrolling kung-fu fighting game – unless it’s in stereoscopic 3D.
Invincible Tiger is going for a more immersive gaming experience by including various 3D formats as gameplay options along with the traditional 2D mode. The plot of the game and the basic combat action are a throwback to the kung-fu films of the 70s; but the fancy art style the local/online co-op modes are a definite nod to more modern gaming sensibilities.
What Is It? Invincible Tiger is an Xbox Live Arcade/PlayStation Network 2D brawler that …

This is the year of “all things weird and wonderful” for Namco Bandai, according to Todd Thorson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations – and Katamari Forever on the PlayStation 3 proves it.
To reintroduce gamers to the wacky puzzle/action/adventure/weird thing Japan created to ensnare gamers in mindless fun, Namco Bandai has given the original game a graphics makeover, a new story, a “handful” of new levels and some remixed music from the original Katamari Damacy. Sadly, the title wasn’t hands-on at the Editors Day event, but one look at Katamari …

Happy birthday, Grand Theft Auto IV. You’re one year old today. Microsoft got you an Xbox 360 Elite “Limited Anniversary Edition” bundle to promote the occasion. But brace for pack-in disappointment…
While the latest Xbox 360 Elite package packs in a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV, it doesn’t appear to offer a complimentary copy of Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned as we’d hoped. Instead, the birthday bundle packs in two limited edition stickers, one featuring the GTA IV logo, the other featuring the Liberty City Swingers team …

Sucker Punch software engineer Chris Heidorn stopped by the PlayStation Blog today to discuss the trophies to unlock and stunts to perform in their upcoming superhero game inFamous.
Chris goes into great detail about the stunts included in the game, which are sequences of events and combinations of powers used to kill the enemy creatively. Sucker Punch teamed with the Sony testing team to generate a list of more than 80 stunts, narrowing that down to a little over 20 using an “experience monitor” that measured the power used versus …
