Wolfenstein has a lot to live up to.
The original Wolfenstein 3D popularized, if not defined first-person shooters. Return to Castle Wolfenstein’s multiplayer introduced some of the most popular features of multiplayer gaming to the PC.

Ever sold something to GameStop? In retailer’s refurbishment facility in Grapevine, Texas, used game goods are made fit for public consumption.
While writing an article on how GameStop has the used game business down pat, The Dallas Morning News checked out the facility, where game discs are inspected and cleaned and where hardware is inspected, disassembled and cleaned.

MTV Games and Pepsi appear to be teaming up for a Rock Band-themed, Pepsi-soaked promotion this Summer, giving away up to 1 million free Rock Band tracks to lucky sugared soft drink swillers.
According to an anonymous tipster, Pepsi will be handing out 10,000 free Rock Band tracks per day to consumers via an “under the cap” contest for seven weeks, starting in early June. Rockstar Games and Microsoft may be giving Xbox 360 owners a chance to brush up on their Max Payne history in advance of the release of Max Payne 3, courtesy of the Xbox Originals program.

According to IGN, there were whispers on the floor of the Game Developers Conference last week. Whispers about the Wii’s upcoming MotionPlus accessory, and how it would ship in a rubber jacket.
“So?”
So, unlike the rubber jacket that’s currently available for the main Wii Remote, this one “might ship infused inside of a jacket and cannot be removed”.

MP Edward Vaizey last week introduced a motion recognizing (sigh, recognising) games recently honored (sigh, honoured) by BAFTA. He also used the motion to decry “the complete lack of support from Government” of the industry.
Fable II (Lionhead Studios), Race Driver: GRID (Codemasters) and LittleBigPlanet (Media Molecule) were all developed at UK studios, and all won at this year’s Bafta Video Games Awards. Vaizey, a Conservative, singled them out for praise) in his motion in the House of Common. Eleven members supported the motion.

What’s in it for you if you join the Entertainment Consumer Association? Well, now the $20 membership gives you 10 percent off games on Amazon.
Curious that we’re hearing of this as an oh-by-the-way that ECA prez Hal Halpin dropped in a GDC interview. I’d think they’d want to blast a news release far and wide on it. But it’s out there now, and if you buy 2 games a year on Amazon, the membership’s basically paid for itself.
The ECA is the closest thing there is to a gamer’s lobby. So …
